Cybersecurity Speaker Series

Svetlana Sicular is a thought leader at the intersection of data and AI. She is convinced that a human plus AI is smarter than either by themselves. Ms. Sicular really cares about helping organizations - from governments and multinational corporations to starups - achieve digital transformation by using AI. Her current research interests focus on the ongoing shifts in AI and ML; responsible AI and AI governance; data-centric AI; and the most exciting part of artificial intelligence - the human. Svetlana Sicular pioneered responsible AI, AI governance, augmented intelligence and big data research at Gartner. She has been covering generative AI since the inception of this term and has been authoring the Generative AI hype cycle profile since. Ms. Sicular developed important, now commonly recognized ideas: multidisciplinary data science teams, the role of Chief Data Officer, data & analytics governance in the age of AI and personal analytics.

Before joining Gartner, Ms. Sicular gained a uniquely combined experience of Fortune 500 IT and business leadership, product management at world-class software vendors and Big Four consulting.

Jefferson is a Detective with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department assigned to the Las Vegas Cybercrime Task Force. He has over 25 years in Law Enforcement and over 15 years as a Task Force Officer working with Federal Agencies. Jefferson has extensive experience investigating Cyber Security Incidents, Network Intrusions, and Organized Criminal Groups committing Cyber Crimes. Jefferson is involved with several cyber security organizations and is committed to increasing cyber security awareness and education. He is involved in initiatives to increase cyber security with Government, Critical Infrastructure, and private sector partners.

Joanna Huisman is Senior Vice President of Strategic Insights and Research at KnowBe4. She is a cybersecurity, training and communications professional with over 20 years of experience in strategic, internal and customer-facing engagements in the financial services/tech industries with added experience in sales, operations and organizational development. Huisman was previously Senior Research Director at Gartner in the areas of security awareness, education, behavior management, culture, crisis communications, security and risk program management. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Global Security Communications, Training & Awareness and Crisis Communications for ADP.
